19th May 2022 - Publishing/development hybrid Draknek & Friends have just wrapped their second annual Draknek Direct, a mini conference jam-packed with announcements. The puzzling powerhouse has big plans for 2022: sequels, console ports, a new Steam event, and even a grant to help the next generation of puzzlecrafters.

Patrick’s Parabox is a recursive puzzle game about boxes within boxes within boxes within boxes. It launched on PC in March 2022 to critical acclaim, and currently holds an ‘overwhelmingly positive’ rating on Steam. Draknek & Friends are publishing the Patrick’s Parabox Switch port.

The team at Draknek & Friends have helped put together a new Steam event: the Cerebral Puzzle Showcase. The event features hundreds of puzzle games, including demos of upcoming titles and a fair few eye-popping discounts. The event is running from 19th-23rd May.

The wait is over! A Monster’s Expedition - the adorable and relaxing open world puzzle adventure for monsters who love to learn about humans - is finally available now on PS4 and PS5.
Additionally, a comprehensive ‘Hint update’ is available now across all platforms, adding hints for every single island in the game and even in-game tips for where to start looking for secrets.

What’s better then one sequel? Two, of course. Sokobond Express is the mashup sequel to Draknek classics Sokobond and Cosmic Express. Draknek have released the first proper peek at the upcoming game, which is scheduled to launch later this year.

In order to help the next generation of puzzlecrafters find their way, Draknek & Friends are launching the Draknek New Voices Puzzle Grant, a programme to give funding and guidance to puzzle game developers from underrepresented backgrounds.
